the facets

This is a pic of C's christmas gift. A spectacular group of facets by Addison Marshall (ceramics+drawing), one of the best artists from my NAS year. This pic was taken in the late summer sunlight, I love the way they light is bouncing around. C only received a few gifts from me this year (not the norm) as nothing compared to the facets. Brilliant.

2010

my beautiful 2010 calendar arrived. below is the january image of the lovely morran. the calendar is by the wonderful (most admired) artist camilla engman, you can buy it from her shop.

mask shopping

an element of my work is about persona. what is revealed, what is hidden... masks obviously fit into this idea. in my mask research i've done a little shopping and have ordered some blanks here. what is with the demonic disney smiles? creepy.

today...

i found this in the archives of Lobster and Swan while in a random web search for something totally different (as always). Seems like a good way to play the day.
